Similarly, grime and filth will collect in the side brush gearbox. The gearbox contains rotating gears within. The motor transfers power to the side brush, which results in its spinning. Clean the underneath of the brush
The first thing you need to do is to remove the collection of dust from the brush. First, you’ll need to take off the brush from the Roomba. To do so, you can use a screwdriver to unscrew it. Clean the brush along with its post. Once the dust is cleaned properly from the brush, install it again and examine if it works now. Clean the gearbox
If the brush doesn’t work even after cleaning it. Then you need to clean the gearbox as well. To access the gearbox, you need to detach the back cover.
